The AFL is pleased to advise the W Awards will be held on the evening of Tuesday, April 28 in a special edition broadcast celebrating the 2020 NAB AFL Women’s Competition.
 
The respective AFL Women’s Best and Fairest and the NAB AFL Women’s Rising Star awards will be announced during the broadcast to be aired from 7:00pm AEST on FOX FOOTY, Kayo, womens.afl, the AFLW App, AFL.com.au and the AFL Live Official App.
 
The winners of the Mark of the Year and the Coates Hire Goal of the Year will be announced on the evening of Sunday, April 26 while the Toyota AFL Women’s All-Australian team will be revealed from 6:00pm AEST on Monday, April 27.
 
AFL Head of Women’s Football Nicole Livingstone said the AFL remained committed to recognising the achievements of all players and clubs in the NAB AFL Women’s Competition.
 
“While the current situation relating to COVID-19 remains a challenge for the entire community, the AFL looks forward to celebrating the achievements of each club and individual following the completion of the 2020 NAB AFL Women’s Competition,” Ms. Livingstone said.
 
Arrangements for the 2020 W Awards
 
Sunday April 26
The AFLW Mark of the Year will be announced at 3:30pm AEST while the Coates Hire Goal of the Year will be announced at 7:30pm AEST across AFL and AFLW social and digital platforms.
 
Monday April 27
The Toyota AFL Women’s All-Australian Team will be announced at 6:00pm AEST across AFL and AFLW social and digital platforms. The initial squad of 40 can be found here.
 
Tuesday April 28 – W Awards broadcast from 7:00pm AEST
The 2020 W Awards will be broadcast nationally from 7:00pm AEST on FOX FOOTY, Kayo, womens.afl, the AFLW app, AFL.com.au and the AFL Live Official App.
 
Awards to be presented include the NAB AFL Women’s Rising Star Award, AFL Women’s Leading Goalkicker Award and AFL Women’s Best and Fairest Award.
