THE 2020 AFLW Trade Period closed with a mega-deal involving three players and four clubs.

The northern clubs had been relatively quiet up until Wednesday but came to life with a multi-part deal.

It saw key forward Taylor Smith move from Gold Coast to Brisbane, fellow former Suns forward Charlotte Hammans traded south to Carlton, and experienced St Kilda midfielder Ali Drennan join the Suns.

Drennan (five games this year after seven at North Melbourne in 2019) had requested to leave St Kilda as she and her husband wished to move to Queensland.
