AFLW injury list, R1 part 2: Bomber a test, Tiger's timeline revealed

ST KILDA young star J’Noemi Anderson will miss up to six weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury in Sunday afternoon’s season opener against Carlton at Marvel Stadium. Anderson injured her hamstring in the third term and took no further part in the game.
Another injury sustained in the opener was a rolled ankle to Blues’ defender Maddy Hendrie. The club has ruled out the tall for the medium term, listing the recovery period for her right ankle as 4-6 weeks.
Newly appointed Richmond co-captain Ellie McKenzie has been given a timeline on the arm injury she sustained in the Australian and Ireland representative match, the midfielder requiring surgery on her fractured ulna. The club expects the former No.1 draft pick to be available for selection in 4-5 weeks time.

Essendon will be without several key players for its round one match against Brisbane on Sunday afternoon at Windy Hill. The Bombers will be sweating on the availability of Maddy Prespakis (knee soreness) who is a test to play, whilst Sophie Van De Heuvel (hamstring), Georgia Clarke (knee), Daria Bannister (knee) and Taya Chambers (shin soreness) have all been listed as unavailable.
Fremantle big name recruit Eden Zanker has been listed as a test after an injury-interrupted pre-season with a foot injury. If the hard-running forward gets up for Fremantle’s match against Port Adelaide it would be Zanker’s first appearance in her new colours.
The Magpies’ injury list includes calf injuries to Kalinda Howarth, Imogen Barnett, Lauren Butler and Jordyn Allen, whilst Maisie Nankivell and Bri Davey ruled out with a knee and a foot injuries respectively.
