THE SANFLW Grand Final is set, East Fremantle is the 2026 WAFLW premier, and Southport is locked in for a third-straight decider.
Young Norwood product Lani Cocks' star continues to rise, and Emma King's return to the VFLW was just in time for North Melbourne Werribee to claim a narrow victory in its Grand Final rematch.
SANFLW
Norwood 8.4 (52) d North Adelaide 5.9 (39)
Norwood’s steady performance, building quarter on quarter, to defeat North Adelaide has confirmed a Grand Final berth against Woodville-West Torrens next week.
Young gun Lani Cocks – not eligible to be drafted until 2027 – starred for the Reglegs, kicking two goals from a game-high 22 disposals, while also winning five clearances and laying four tackles. Top-ager Elke Cameron won 18 disposals and four clearances, and former Port Adelaide and Carlton utility Jade Halfpenny continued a strong season with 20 disposals and six marks.
Unfortunately it's end of the road for North Adelaide, but father-daughter prospect Polly Turner (16 disposals, one goal) was impressive, and bottom-ager Maya Fuller brought her running power.
QAFLW
Southport 9.10 (64) d Coorparoo 1.2 (8)
Southport won its way through to a third consecutive Grand Final with the hopes of pulling off a threepeat, thanks to a dismantling of Coorparoo on Saturday.
Three goals to Maddy Baldwin and two from Holly Wall helped tick the score over, while Sienna Burnham (14 tackles) and Giselle Davies (11) brought the defensive pressure. Former Gold Coast midfielder Ella Maurer continued an impressive season for the Sharks with a game-high 23 disposals and six clearances.
2027 draft prospect Edie Fraser (11 disposals, four tackles), was clean with ball in hand for Coorparoo, and Chelsea Chesterfield was the side's only goalkicker.
Coorparoo will now prepare to face Bond University in next week's preliminary final in an effort to reach the Grand Final.
Bond University 5.4 (34) d Morningside 4.5 (29)
Last year's Grand Finalist Morningside has crashed out of the finals series in a narrow loss to Bond University on Saturday.
Shannon Nolan and Evy Reeves were the dominant ball winners on the ground, combining for 58 disposals, 12 clearances and 10 tackles for the Bullsharks, and former Gold Coast academy player Annabelle Foat finished with 19 disposals, 10 tackles, and a goal.
Laura Roy was Morningside's best, with all four of her side's goals from 18 disposals.
WAFLW
East Fremantle 3.5 (23) d Swan Districts 2.7 (19)
East Fremantle pulled off a dramatic premiership win over Swan Districts from third on the ladder with Siena Jezierski-Brown kicking the winner with three minutes left on the clock.
Jaime Henry (31 disposals, 13 tackles) won the Lou Knitter Medal as best on ground, despite playing for the Swans, while draft prospects Summer Adjuk (14 disposals) and Grace Hirst (12) both featured for the losing side.
Star ruck Zoe Keley (31 hitouts, two goals) was East Fremantle's best, doing all the scoring until that final matchwinner, as Cienna Leslie and Anjelique Raison each had a team-high 16 disposals.
VFLW
Port Melbourne 4.5 (29) d Box Hill 2.6 (18)
A strong last quarter from Port Melbourne saw off the Hawks, keeping its chances of a top four finish alive.
Irishwoman Emear Scally was impressive for the Borough with 21 disposals, six clearances, and a goal, while Lauren Caruso (22 disposals), Courtney Jones (18 disposals, six tackles), and Mackenzie Bourne (11 disposals, 31 hitouts) were all important.
A pair of AFLW Hawks ran out for Box Hill, with Niamh Martin recording 10 disposals and three inside 50s, and Lavinia Cox finishing with 15 disposals.
North Melbourne Werribee 12.6 (78) d Collingwood 2.5 (17)
Three goals from Emma King helped North Melbourne Werribee to move a game clear in second place on the ladder with one round remaining, besting 2025 Grand Finalist Collingwood by a solitary major.
Former No.1 pick Kristie-Lee Weston-Turner (16 disposals, seven intercepts), Tessa Boyd (20 disposals, seven intercepts), Sarah Wall (seven disposals), Shauna McElligott (seven disposals, seven tackles) and Maddison Torpey (nine disposals, 12 hitouts) also ran out for the Roos in the win.
Small forward Georgia Knight (two goals, nine disposals) got dangerous in attack for Collingwood as she fights for her first senior game of the year, and Irish recruit Ellie Brady also hit the scoreboard, with one goal from her 11 disposals.
Zara Neuwirth (seven disposals), Amy Smith (12 disposals, five marks), and Olivia Lewis (five disposals, six hitouts) tried to get involved in the game, and Dom Carbone picked up where she left off at VFLW level with 23 disposals and nine clearances.
Western Bulldogs 14.7 (91) d Darebin 2.4 (16)
The Western Bulldogs put the foot to the floor in the second half, kicking 10 goals to Darebin's two, as they flew toward their 75-point win.
Analea McKee kicked five goals from 21 disposals, while also taking 11 marks, and draftee Charlie O'Connor Moreira kicked a goal of her own as she returned from a shin complaint. Lou Stephenson was less productive in front of the big sticks, with just two behinds from 12 touches, while Keeley Hardingham (25 hitouts, 20 disposals) was dominant in the ruck.
Ellie Gavalas (14 disposals) and Brooke Barwick (18, eight tackles) worked well through the middle.
Hitting the scoreboard for Darebin was Mia Spiteri and Ella Southgate.
Geelong 3.9 (27) d Carlton 3.6 (24)
Geelong pulled off an upset win over Carlton, keeping its admittedly slim chances of a finals berth alive.
Recruit Jasmin Stewart was outstanding for the Cats once again, with 23 disposals, eight tackles and a goal, and ruck Caitie Tipping recorded 17 hitouts and seven disposals. Sienna Tallariti (12 disposals, five marks), Annie Lee (20 disposals, nine tackles, seven intercepts), and Kate Surman (20 disposals, five clearances) also played for Geelong.
Key forward Tara Bohanna had an inaccurate day out for Carlton, finishing with three behinds from her 13 disposals, as draftees Lily Baxter (16 disposals) and Tayla McMillan (seven disposals, seven tackles) continue to build in the navy guernsey.
Aisling Reidy kicked a goal, Kiara Bischa had six intercept possessions, Lou-Lou Field laid six tackles, while Brooke Boileau was dominant through the middle of the ground with 22 disposals and eight clearances.
Tasmania 7.8 (50) d Casey 4.3 (27)
Tasmania continues to stand up despite a spate of injuries, claiming a 23-point win over Casey in a double-header with Melbourne's AFLW program on Sunday.
A four goal haul from Ava Read went a long way toward the win, while Angelica Clark recorded an equal game-high 24 disposals and eight clearances for Tasmania.
Tahlia Fellows (11 disposals), Amelia Dethridge (12), and Aoife Horisk (eight) all featured for Casey, having not been selected for the Demons' AFLW side.
