TWO INAUGURAL stars of the AFLW have been omitted in the teams for round three, as the next generation starts to flex its muscle, while North Melbourne has suffered a triple-premiership injury blow.

Yartapuulti has omitted Kirsty Lamb, while Euro-Yroke has dropped Nicola Barr after its heavy loss to Geelong.

North Melbourne has also listed Mia King and Eilish Sheerin as missing through injury, with Emma King recalled alongside Tessa Boyd.

The Saints have made a few changes, also dropping ruck Rene Caris for young tall Abby Hobson, and unveiling two draftee debutants, with tall utility Jade McLay and defender Maya Louvel-Finn earning their opportunities.

VFLW star Abby Favell will make the jump up to the AFLW, named in the Kangaroos' side in place of fellow runner Erika O'Shea (concussion).

Opponents Western Bulldogs have made three changes, with Elisabeth Georgostathis named for her first game of the year after time in the concussion protocols, while key back Kaylee Kimber and ruck Keeley Hardingham have also been named.

Kuwarna has received some much-needed forward fire-power, with Grace Kelly (hamstring) and India Rasheed(shins/conditioning block) named for their first game of the season, in place of Amy Boyle-Carr and Brooke Tonon.

Waalitj Marawar has opted to field top-up Lisa Steane, having dropped below 24 available players, with Roxy Roux listed as managed. Co-captain Charlie Thomas returns after illness, with Mia Russo making way.

Sydney has received mixed news on the injury front, with Laura Gardiner (foot) and Ash Van Loon (calf) passing tests, but Taylor Smith (wrist) and Holly Cooper (elbow) won't make the trip to Coffs Harbour.

Emma Juneja will make her AFLW debut, while tall Caitlin Reid will play her first game for the year.

Now in her third year on an AFLW list, powerful prospect Georgia Stubs will make her long-awaited AFLW debut with Richmond, having not quite managed to break through with North Melbourne over her first two years.

Gold Coast has confirmed Lily Mithen will miss Sunday's match with injury, but has not yet named its final side.

Collingwood will make at least four changes when its final team is named on Friday night, confirming it will lose Maisie Nankivell, Mattea Breed and Imogen Barnett to injury and illness, and Violet Patterson to suspension.
