CARLTON is in line for a huge boost at selection this week, with a trio of key players all chances to return for the clash against Melbourne.
Excitement machine Sophie McKay, midfielder Keeley Sherar and ruck Lauren Bella could all return from their respective injuries, although the news isn't as good for veteran Darcy Vescio who has had a calf setback.
North Melbourne could be without three of its biggest stars for the clash against Hawthorn, with Tahlia Randall and Libby Birch potentially joining Kate Shierlaw (concussion) on the sidelines.
As reported by AFL.com.au on Monday, the Hawks will be without captain Emily Bates for the rest of the year due to an ACL injury, while Laura Stone (concussion) will also miss the trip to Cairns.
Melbourne midfielder Eliza McNamara will miss her side's clash with Carlton after her jaw was fractured in an incident that saw Port Adelaide's Ella Heads suspended for three weeks, while Brisbane pair Charlie Mullins (concussion) and Jade Ellenger (wrist) won't feature this weekend either.

Sydney's Sofia Hurley is facing a lengthy stint on the sidelines with a serious ankle injury but is yet to be ruled out for the season, Saint Liv Vesely has an ankle injury of her own and the Suns will be without Lucy Single and Mikayla Nurse when they face the Bombers.
In better news, Fremantle could be bolstered by the returns of Mim Strom and Aisling McCarthy, the Pies could get back Ruby Schleicher and Sarah Rowe, while Richmond pair Paige Scott and Caitlin Greiser are in the frame for the Tigers.
Western Bulldogs duo Ellie Blackburn and De Berry are also a chance to return this week, as is West Coast youngster Jess Rentsch.Â
