CARLTON and Fremantle have regained plenty of star power ahead of crunch matches this weekend, while North Melbourne is without some of its heroes at both ends of the ground.

The Blues have regained Sophie McKay (ankle), Keeley Sherar (shoulder) and new recruit Lauren Bella (calf) for their huge match against Melbourne. Gab Pound (concussion) and Brooke Boileau (foot) will miss with injuries.

Hawthorn has finally named veteran Najwa Allen for the first time this year, recalled alongside Bridie Hipwell for Emily Bates (ACL) and Laura Stone (concussion).

Opponent North Melbourne will be without Libby Birch (minor knee injury), Emma Kearney (managed) and Kate Shierlaw (concussion) for its trip to Cairns. Former No.1 pick Kristie-Lee Weston-Turner has held her spot, with Tessa Boyd, Abby Favell and Jenna Bruton (managed last week) joining her in the side.

Tahlia Randall has been named after being a test with an elbow complaint.

Fremantle has regained All-Australian duo Mim Strom (shoulder) and Aisling McCarthy (knee) for its must-win clash with the Western Bulldogs, but will be without Emma O'Driscoll (ankle) and key forward Tunisha Kikoak (back).

The Dogs have their own huge inclusion with former skipper Ellie Blackburn returning after a month out with a hamstring injury, but current captain De Berry (collarbone) will have to wait another week after being listed as a test.

Lou Stephenson will play her first game for the season after a late pre-season injury had her on the back foot, while Sarah Poustie and Analea McKee have been dropped.

Collingwood veterans Ruby Schleicher and Sarah Rowe are back after hamstring and groin injuries respectively, but draftee Mischa Barwin's season has ended, tearing her right ACL at training on Thursday, while Kalinda Howarth is unwell.

Geelong has made one change, with Nic Stevens replacing Zali Friswell (leg), and have been forced to name a top-up in its emergencies.

Former West Coast defender Lucy Boyd will make her club debut for Port Adelaide, with Ella Heads ruled out for the next three weeks with suspension. Lauren Young returns after being managed last week, with draftee Olivia Crane omitted.

Suspended Sydney duo Ally Morphett and Lexi Hamilton have been immediately recalled after serving their one-match bans. Sofia Hurley is out with a serious ankle injury, while Darcy Moloney has been dropped.

Midfielder Jorja Livingstone (daughter of Richmond footy boss Tim) will make her AFLW debut with Melbourne after missing the first five games of the season with a wrist injury, replacing Eliza McNamara (jaw). Ruck Lauren Pearce will miss yet again due to a knee complaint.

Former St Kilda skipper Hannah Priest will sit out the rest of the season, announcing her pregnancy with fiancé, former Richmond AFL player Jake Batchelor earlier this week.
