GEELONG has received a massive boost for its Thursday night clash against Hawthorn, with star midfielder Amy McDonald returning from a hamstring injury.

McDonald has missed the past four matches, and comes into the side alongside Jasmin Stewart, while in-form defender Bryde O'Rourke and first-year midfielder Renee Morgan will miss through illness and omission respectively.

For the Hawks, young midfielder Laura Stone returns after exiting concussion protocols, with Najwa Allen making way after her first game of the season last week.

Forward Greta Bodey has not been named in the starting 21, but has been listed as an emergency.
