WILL the change to AFLW voting procedures see North Melbourne superstar Jasmine Garner finally take out her first league best and fairest award?

Like the Brownlow Medal earlier this month – which saw the previous winless Nick Daicos romp home – AFLW umpires have access to player statistics for the first time when voting this year.

Garner is currently one vote ahead of dynamic Geelong midfielder Georgie Prespakis in the AFLW Best and Fairest tracker.

The men's Brownlow tracker correctly predicted Daicos would win with 47 votes, with another blonde Cat in Bailey Smith and Marcus Bontempelli rounding out the top three.

Comeback Demon Olivia Purcell's outstanding season after a torn ACL sees her sitting in equal-third alongside West Coast favourite Ella Roberts.

Two former medallists – Kiara Bowers and Ebony Marinoff – round out the top six.

The first non-midfielder checks in at equal 10th, with rucks Matilda Scholz and Lucy Wales predicted to have polled nine votes each to date.

Maddy Prespakis has been predicted to be the only Essendon player to poll votes in the first seven rounds, while St Kilda has the lowest top individual tally so far, with Tyanna Smith predicted to be leading her club with just three votes.
