Harris has been integral to the remarkable turnaround by the Suns in 2026 that sees them sitting in fifth place with a 5-2 record.

Following a standout debut season last year, the athletic forward has kicked eight goals and been involved in a team-high six score involvements a game.

She said playing alongside fellow Gold Coast Academy graduates Ava Usher, Dekota Baron, Alannah Welsh and Sunny Lappin (among others too many to name) made her decision to stay on the Coast a no-brainer.

“I thought it would take a while for the younger player to gel with the current players, but we’ve just connected as a group so quickly and so well and it’s been heaps of fun,” she said.

“It’s weird being the oldest player in the forward line at the moment. Other than when Hatch (Anne Hatchard) comes down!

“I’ve had to take on more of a leadership role … which I’ve found quite difficult, but Stanno (Jamie Stanton) has been awesome with me off the field in helping me with that.”
