ASH CENTRA has received the round eight Telstra AFLW Rising Star nomination after a stellar performance against Melbourne on Sunday.

The 20-year-old, who was selected by Collingwood with pick no.1 in the 2024 AFLW draft, picked up 30 disposals and seven-clearances against the Demons.

Centra has played forward for the bulk of her 15-game career so far, but moved into the midfield against the Dees to great effect.

Not only did she set a new career-best for disposals and clearances against the Demons, but she hit a new high for tackles (five) and AFLW Fantasy points too (100). 

Centra has played seven out of a possible eight games so far in 2026, missing round four with a shin issue.

It's her second Rising Star nomination, having also received the nod during round five, 2025.
