INJURY-HIT Brisbane has received a much-need boost with winger Jade Ellenger recovering from a wrist injury in time for Sunday's clash against Hawthorn, while Carlton's Darcy Vescio has been named for their first match since round two.

Ellenger has not featured since round five, while Vescio has been sidelined by a calf complaint for the past six matches, with Amelia Velardo also named in the Blues' side to face Sydney after being managed last week.

For its clash against ladder-leading North Melbourne, Fremantle has responded to its Western Derby loss to West Coast last week by dropping Holly Egan and Saoirse Lally in favour of Laura Pugh, Madi Scanlon and debutant Mon Bessen, while Aoife Healy will miss through injury.

Claire Mahony has been recalled in place of injured veteran Emma Kearney for the Roos.

For the Swans, Darcy Molony comes into the side after Ally Morphett's season-ending knee injury.

The Hawks will go into their clash against the Lions unchanged.
