COLLINGWOOD and the Western Bulldogs have both been dealt massive blows Jordan Membrey and Deanna Berry rupturing their ACLs. 

Membrey, the Pies' 2020 leading goalkicker, twisted her left knee during the third term of the Magpies' 35-point win over Melbourne while attempting to lay a tackle.

The 25-year-old has kicked 10 goals in 13 matches for Collingwood, having previously played for Brisbane in 2017, and was already sidelined for a few weeks earlier this year with an ankle injury.

She will consult a surgeon later this week.

"The whole program is heartbroken for Jordy," Collingwood's head of women's sport Jane Woodlands-Thompson said.

"In true Jordy nature, she remains in good spirits and is determined to contribute to the campaign in another capacity. 

"We will continue to support Jordy during this challenging time."

Berry suffered the the injury to her right knee late in Sunday's win over GWS. 

"The entire AFLW program is devastated for Dee, it’s definitely the news no-one wanted to hear," Dogs footy GM Debbie Lee said.

"Dee has worked tremendously hard this season, particularly in the off-season, so it is very disappointing that she has suffered an ACL injury. 

"As a Club, we will continue to support Dee and her family in every way we can as she begins her rehab and recovery."

After a relatively clear run of ACL injuries this year, round five proved to be a horror run for the AFLW competition, with Geelong best and fairest Liv Purcell also suffering the dreaded injury on Friday night.
