GOLD Coast defender Emma Pittman will return for her first AFLW game in more than two years in Friday's clash against Carlton at Metricon Stadium. 

Pittman last played an AFLW match on March 17, 2019, representing Brisbane before injuring and then re-injuring her ACL, wiping out her next two seasons. 

She is one of two inclusions for the Suns, with forward Janet Baird included for the clash, and Tori Groves-Little (concussion) and Paige Parker (omitted) making way.

"There are a lot of emotions, it’s not really real right now," Pittman said.

"I’m just so stoked to run out with the girls, they’re my second family and I’ve gotten really close with them over the last two years so to be able to run out with them will be really exciting."

Carlton has also made two changes, with first-year Blue Charlotte Hammans and Brooke Walker included for tall forward Serena Gibbs (omitted) and defender Charlotte Wilson (managed). 

Hammans will play her second game for the club after impressive for three weeks in the VFLW.
