THE SECOND half of the NAB AFLW Under-17 Championships continue on Friday in Alice Springs, with two of the Northern Territory's brightest stars having teams named after them.

The NT's young talent pool will split in half and play each other, with the teams named after Adelaide's Danielle Ponter and Gold Coast's Janet Baird.

South Australia, Western Australia, Victoria and New South Wales played a series of intrastate matches earlier this year, but the action has now shifted to the north-eastern corner of the country.

Tasmania will play one match, pitting the state's northern talent against that of the south on Tuesday, September 28 at North Hobart Oval.
