A HANDFUL of Irish AFLW players have been able to leave quarantine earlier than expected, due to changes in regulation by state governments.

Melbourne duo Sinead Goldrick and Lauren Magee were expecting a 14-day stint in hotel quarantine, but were the lucky beneficiaries of the cut in length for fully vaccinated people.

GWS' Bríd Stack (along with husband Carthach Keane and son Carthach Og) is another to benefit from the change in NSW regulations and will be released on Thursday, while teammate Cora Staunton will be back in the community on Monday.

There are 14 Irish players in the AFLW this year, with a 15th in Yvonne Bonner on the inactive list due to pregnancy.
