INSPIRATIONAL Adelaide skipper Chelsea Randall will lead the team for a sixth successive season, her second as sole captain.

The two-time premiership star was elected co-captain alongside Erin Phillips in the inaugural year of 2017, and took the reins by herself last year.

Key back Sarah Allan and the versatile Eloise Jones have maintained their positions in the leadership group, and with 2021 vice-captain Ange Foley sidelined for the year with a torn ACL, speedy Stevie-Lee Thompson has been promoted in her stead.

"Chelsea is the natural leader of our group and we are thrilled to have her lead for a second year as our sole captain," coach Matthew Clarke said.

"She typifies our culture with her selflessness, competitiveness and team-first attitude.

"We have so many strong, emerging leaders at our club, and while not everyone has a leadership title, they still have the ability to influence the team and our environment.

"To see Stevie-Lee enter our leadership group is not only great recognition for her on a personal level, but also shows the great depth of leaders in our squad.

"We are excited for Stevie-Lee to take that next step in her career and we think she will add another dynamic to the group."

Allan joined the leadership group in 2020, with Jones joining her for the 2021 season.

Three other sides have confirmed their leadership groups for 2022: Emma Swanson and Alicia Eva will lead West Coast and GWS respectively for a third successive year, while premiership vice-captain Breanna Koenen has taken over from the retired Emma Zielke at Brisbane.
