GREATER Western Sydney has made a further list change ahead of the 2022 NAB AFLW season, after injury replacement player Isadora McLeay tore her ACL at training.

East Coast Eagles midfielder Ally Dallaway, 22, has earned her chance at the top level after a strong season in the AFL Sydney competition, having also spent two winters in the Giants' development program.

It's a horrible blow for McLeay, who was brought in as cover for the pregnant Emily Goodsir, but she has already been assured of her Giants future in 2023.

"It’s devastating for Isadora but she’s in the best of hands as she begins her rehabilitation," Giants coach Alan McConnell said.

"She’ll still be a key part of our AFLW program off the field. She’s a developing young tall and we were happy to give her the certainty that she will be contracted past her injury.

"Isadora will undergo surgery in the comings weeks, and we know she’ll attack her rehabilitation with as much determination and intent as we’ve seen from her on the field."

The Giants said Dallaway is an athletic prospect with a strong work ethic, and already has a strong connection with fellow East Coast and Giants players Alyce Parker, Tarni Evans and Georgia Garnett.
