RICHMOND chiefexecutive Brendon Gale says he is very confident Jack Riewoldt and DustinMartin will re-sign with the club beyond this season. 

The two are thehighest-profile Tigers out of contract at the end of the season, and Gale saidhe was pleased with the progress that had been made in retaining theirservices. 

The club re-signed four players last week, but Riewoldt and Martin were not among thenames, sparking discussion on their futures. 

“We’re confidentwhere we’re placed with both Jack and Dustin,” Gale told Crocmedia’s Sportsday

“Thosediscussions have been worked through in a professional manner with theirrepresentatives and we’re very confident they’ll be resolved. 

“We’re confidentin the offering. We’ve got to make sure we guide it by the market and pay theplayers the market value. We’ve got the integrity of our own salary cap to bemindful of as well.” 

The 24-year-oldRiewoldt and 21-year-old Martin are among a group of uncontracted players for2014 that includes key defender Alex Rance and first-round draftee Reece Conca. 

The Tigersannounced on Tuesday they had passed the 60,000 membership mark, but Gale saidit had to be backed up with on-field success. 

“We reallyhaven’t done anything yet,” he said. 

“It’s not untilwe get in the finals on a consistent basis that we can start to say we’veachieved things in a football space.”
