 		it is possible that a team can finish lower on the ladder after home-and-away matches in 2013 than it did in 2012, and yet be a better team ...… it is Collingwood this year.
Essendon
 		the Bombers think clubs will willingly play ball with them and assist them to trade into the first round of the draft …… they are about to find out opponents have long memories of being dudded in past trade periods.
Fremantle
 		our gut feel is right …… the Dockers will either win, or
go very close to winning, this qualifying final at Simonds Stadium.
Geelong
 		our gut feel is right …… the Cats will need to produce their top-shelf best if they are to win this weekend. Never underestimate a Ross Lyon-coached team.
Gold Coast
 		Karmichael Hunt isn't frustrated right now about his AFL pursuit …… he should be. An extraordinarily talented sportsman, just not in the AFL.
GWS

 		the Giants don't manage to attract at least a couple of big names in the trade/free agency period  ...
... there is no guarantee 2014 will be
any better than 2013.
Hawthorn
 		Buddy Franklin was Jack Ziebell …… he would have copped a three-week suspension. Having said that, the MRP got this one right.
Melbourne
 		the Demons are granted a priority pick …… it is an AFL disgrace.
North Melbournethis club isn't still asking itself the hardest of questions about how it mangled a season of football ...… it should be. Should be playing this weekend. Isn't. And should be hurting like Garry Lyon on a stretcher.
Port Adelaide
 		the Power want to upset the Pies …… they need to stop a kid who has played just six games. Do not, under any circumstances, underestimate the big guy with the hairband.
Richmond
 		the moment doesn't overawe the Tigers …… they will easily win this elimination final. But the moment, when it arrives, could be suffocating.
St Kilda
 		we actually needed any more evidence that Mad Mondays are a thing of the past for AFL clubs ...… we got it last week. Just let the
tradition go, boys. It's finished.
Sydney Swans
 		Tippett reaches the same highs in this final as he did the last time he played at the MCG in September…… the Swans will win. Nearly got the Crows into the GF. But there's more focus, and pressure, this time round.
West Coast
 		the Eagles had have been honest with themselves long before last Thursday ……the decision last Thursday wouldn't have been a shock, nor would it have taken so long to arrive at. Woosha was "gone" a long time ago.
Western Bulldogshere's going to better public speech this month than that delivered by Brendan McCartney at the Rising Star function …...it is going to have to be a very, very, very good speech.
