Former North defender Daniel Pratt joins Eagles as development coach
FORMER North Melbourne defender Daniel Pratt will join his ex-teammate Adam Simpson at West Coast as a development coach.
Pratt will fill the void left by Adrian Hickmott who has been promoted to a senior assistant role at the Eagles.
The 30-year-old played 116 matches with North Melbourne and three with the Brisbane Lions during his eight-year AFL career.
Pratt has spent the past two seasons playing at Box Hill in the VFL, and captained the Hawks to the 2013, while also working alongside Simpson in an unofficial development capacity.
Pratt told westcoasteagles.com.au he was thrilled to join Simpson in Perth.
"Seeing how 'Simmo' worked at Hawthorn, when this opportunity came up I was very excited," Pratt said.
"It’s a strong list and the last 12 months were tough mainly because of injuries. There's real upside here and I'm looking forward to getting involved.
"I was just going through the list with 'Hick' (Adrian Hickmott) and there are a lot of players in the four to six-year range of experience, so I'm looking forward to working with them."
