RICHMOND has re-signed three key players on the eve of the new premiership season.

Emerging key forward Ty Vickery and rebounding defender Bachar Houli have both signed two-year contract extensions, while small defender Steve Morris has agreed to a three-year extension.

The new deals keep Vickery and Houli at the club until at least the end of the 2016 season, while Morris will remain a Tiger until at least the end of the 2017 season.

Richmond general manager of football Dan Richardson said the re-signings were a huge boost for the club ahead of the approaching season.

"It’s a great result for the club to lock away three of our most important players for the next few seasons," he said.

"Bachar, Steve and Ty are all integral members of the team, and we look forward seeing them continue to improve in 2014 and beyond.

"Pleasingly for all parties, we were able to finalise these contracts before the start of the season."

Richmond plays Gold Coast in round one of the home and away season at Metricon Stadium on March 15.
