ADELAIDE forward Taylor Walker has been cleared of any damage to his hamstring after having precautionary scans on Monday.

Walker reported tightness in hishamstring after a training session on Saturday morning but still attended the club's round three loss against the Sydney Swans.

He was seen watching the Crows' first SANFL match of the season at Prospect Oval in North Adelaide on Sunday afternoon.

The 23-year-old has spent nearly 12 months on the sidelines after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in round five last year.

In a statement released on Monday evening the club said the tightness in Walker's hamstring would "have minimal, if any, effect on his return to playing".

The Crows are also confident about the injury status of star midfielder Scott Thompson who suffered a corked thigh in Saturday's loss to the Swans.

Thompson limped from the field and was eventually subbed for debutant Matt Crouch, but the club believes he'll be available for Sunday's crucial match against St Kilda.

Mitch Grigg (adductor) and Sam Kerridge (eye) are also both expected to be fit, while key pair Tom Lynch (shoulder) and Andy Otten (knee) are still a week or two away from a return.
