A HOST of Collingwood stars will be available for the clash against Adelaide in round nine but defender Alex Fasolo is no certainty to be ready.

Nick Maxwell, Alan Toovey, Sam Dwyer and Clinton Young are all expected to be fit when the Magpies face the Crows at Adelaide Oval on May 15.

But Fasolo, whose sore toe has turned into an aggravated foot complaint, is 50-50 for the game and will be assessed before the contest.

"Alex Fasolo has had a sore toe for quite a while, (he) changed his running gait and got a little bit sore in foot," Collingwood director of Rodney Eade said.

"The scan has improved and he'll be assessed, so we're optimistic he'll be better than a 50-50, but we'll have to assess (it) during that week."

Dwyer injured the medial ligament in his left knee on Friday night against Carlton but played out the game before being substituted at three-quarter time.

He is expected to train after the Magpies return from their four-day leave period.

Maxwell (back) and Toovey (hamstring) both missed the club's 34-point win on Friday night  but the pair will both train later in the week to push their claims for a return.

Maxwell, the former Magpies skipper, hurt his back doing weights on the Wednesday leading into Friday's match, while Toovey has some slight inflammation in his hamstring but should be right to go when Collingwood resumes its season.

Young, who sustained a deep cork in his shin in the Anzac Day clash with Essendon, is also on track to play against the Crows.
