HAWTHORN'S Billy Hartung could be recalled for Friday night's game against Adelaide after missing just a month with an elbow injury.
Hartung, pick No. 24 at last year's draft, was initially tipped to miss six weeks when he was injured in the club's round 12 win over West Coast in Launceston.
Hawks football manager Chris Fagan told hawthornfc.com.au that if Hartung passed a fitness test at training this week, the 19-year-old would be available for selection.
The news is less optimistic for emerging midfielder Bradley Hill, who was a late withdrawal last weekend with a knee complaint.
Hill experienced soreness in his left knee in the warm-up to last Friday's game against North Melbourne, and Fagan said he was no certainty to line up against the Crows at Adelaide Oval.
“It was a little thing in the knee called the ITB,” he said.
“We’ll see how we goes through this week and make a decision later, probably on Thursday as to whether he plays or has another week to rest it up.”
Veteran Brad Sewell has been ruled out of the match after injuring his right hamstring against the Kangaroos.
The Hawks expect Sewell to miss up to four weeks.
