 		it's not a live lion at home games ......it's playing home matches in Singapore. At least Greg Swann is having a crack at fixing things in Brisbane.

 		Mick Malthouse happens to retire or is moved on as Blues coach at the end of this season......Channel Seven's brass is doing itself no favours if it wants to use him as a special commentator in 2016.
Collingwood
 		this column was starting to doubt its (upon reflection) ridiculously early and (upon reflection) ridiculously lofty predictions for Grundy, and it (upon reflection of those comments) was......there was at least a brief thought to repeat those comments upon witnessing last Saturday night's Gabba match. But we won't. Yet.
Essendon
 		you lead a game of footy by 41 points deep into the third quarter......you should win it, even if most of your players are lacking match fitness.
Fremantle
 		anyone thought the Dockers would just fade away in 2015......they've inexplicably underestimated Ross The Boss.
Geelong
 		you have a couple of beers on Good Friday......either make sure you're not playing a game of AFL footy the next Monday or more importantly ensure your opponents don't find out about it.
Gold Coast
 		there was something disturbing to emerge out of round one......it was the lack of fight in the Suns.
Greater Western Sydney

 		there's one lucky guy in the AFL to be playing this weekend......it is Tom Bugg. Was clearly an accident in colliding with Riewoldt last weekend, but this accident should nevertheless have had a ramification.
Hawthorn
 		you're going to sledge an opponent......best to take every possible precaution to limit your words to the meaningless or funny stuff, not the stuff that might raise the eyebrows of a person who has suffered serious depression.
Melbourne
 		there was one victory that brought a genuine feeling of warmth last weekend......it was the Demons' gutsy effort against the Suns.
North Melbourneyou prepared to be ambushed in Adelaide and still got ambushed in Adelaide last Sunday......this Sunday against the Brisbane Lions in Melbourne you'd best be the one doing the ambushing.
Port Adelaide
 		there's one man who flies under the radar in this most magnificent footy team......it's Brad Ebert. Rarely spoken about externally. Rated as highly as they come internally.
Richmond
 		you cast your mind back to Friday night of Round 18 last year at Subi......you'll remember Dean Cox being crudely felled. And that you haven't seen Ty Vickery at AFL level since.
St Kilda
 		our gut feel is right......the Saints are in for a really nasty time come 7.20pm Saturday night on the Gold Coast.
Sydney Swans
 		our gut feel is right a second time......the Swans will have some tough questions to ask themselves at the completion of their game against the Power on the same night.
West Coast
 		there is one thing to get excited about at the Eagles right now......it is Jeremy McGovern. Takes old-fashioned contested marks, and we love it.
Western BulldogsTom Boyd fires......a forward line of Boyd, Stringer, Bontempelli, Crameri, Dahlhaus and one of Redpath or Cordy is going to cause serious problems.
