AFTER months of speculation, Lewy Taylor has re-signed with the Brisbane Lions for another three seasons.

Taylor, the 2014 NAB Rising Star winner, will now be a Lion until at least the end of 2019.

After initially asking up to $500,000 for his services, the small forward has settled for significantly less, but will remain at the Gabba while the struggling club continues to rebuild.

Lions' national talent manager Peter Schwab told lions.com.au the Victorian has an exciting long-term future at the club.

"It's fantastic to re-sign Lewy," Schwab said.

"Lewy has now put the talk around his contract to bed and is focused on playing footy.

"He’s a popular member of the playing group both on and off the field and we are really happy that he is part of our future."

It is believed young defender Darcy Gardiner is also closing in on a two-year deal.
