NEARLY 60 per cent of fans believe the Western Bulldogs' fairytale of winning their second ever premiership is bound to come true in Saturday's Grand Final.

With more than 100,000 votes cast on AFL.com.au, Luke Beveridge's team holds the advantage with 59 per cent of the vote.

The Bulldogs are looking to add another piece of silverware to join their maiden 1954 premiership cup at the Whitten Oval.

The Swans have received 41 per cent of the vote from supporters, as they get set to play in their third Grand Final in five years.

The Bulldogs have gone in as underdogs in every one of their three finals to date and the trend looks like continuing against the Swans.

However, the Dogs have shown throughout the year – epitomised by their six-point preliminary final win over Greater Western Sydney – that they perform best when their backs are against the wall.

The minor premier Sydney Swans had a slip up against the Giants in the first week of the finals, but were clinical in big wins, first in the semi-final against Adelaide and then over Geelong in last Friday night's preliminary final.

The Bulldogs may be the fans’ favourite but they are not the bookmakers’ favourite. Crownbet has the Swans at $1.60 to win the flag, while the Dogs are outsiders at $2.40. The line is set at 10.5 points.
