COLLINGWOOD is not concerned about the prospect of Daniel Wells breaking down with injury, list manager Derek Hine says.

Wells announced on Monday that he would leave North Melbourne.

The unrestricted free agent reportedly has a three-year deal on the table from the Pies.

However, Hine denied the Magpies had reached an agreement with Wells.

"We're in the process of dealing with his management," Hine said at Etihad Stadium.

Wells played 19 matches in 2016 but managed only 12 in the two seasons prior after suffering injuries to his calf, Achilles heel and foot.

Indicative draft order: What picks will your club take to the draft

"He missed two previous years but prior to that he was averaging over 20 games per season. He's not dissimilar to Ben Reid, I dare say," Hine said.

Wells will be 32 at the start of next season, but Hine said the long-time Kangaroos on-baller's age wasn't a concern for the Pies.

"Our oldest player will be 28 once Trav (Cloke) leaves, along with all the retirements. We're really conscious of how that profile looks," Hine said.

"I think we've got 26-27 players under 25. Daniel … finished fourth in (North's) best and fairest and has clearly been a really high performer for a long period of time.

"We're really excited about potentially bringing him in to the organisation."

Fremantle forward Chris Mayne, 27, is expected to become a Magpie in the next couple of days, with the unrestricted free agent expected to accept a deal worth around $2 million over four years.

"We're still working through that with Col (Mayne's manager Colin Young), so we'll sort that out in the next 24-48 hours," Hine said.

Cloke, 29, is expected to officially join the Western Bulldogs soon.

"It'll get sorted out pretty quickly," Hine said.

Cloke's manager Robert D'Orazio, of Connors Sports Management, said the Pies want picks from the premiers so they can select father-son pair Josh Daicos and Callum Brown.

Daicos is the son of Peter and Brown is the son of Gavin.

"It (the Cloke deal) will get done. It's just maybe swapping a few fourth-round picks. The Pies probably want a few points involved with those picks with the scenario whether or not they get Daicos and Brown," D'Orazio said on NAB AFL Trade Radio.

The Magpies will likely nominate the pair but will wait until draft night before deciding whether to take them.

Paul Connors told SEN on Monday morning out-of-contract defender Marley Williams may be on the way out, but Hine did not expect anything to happen this week.

"We're just going to get through this week. We really haven't discussed his future at all with any clubs. I'm sure if there's interest there, they'll come and see us," Hine said.

NAB AFL Trade Period ends on Thursday, October 20.
