• Indicative draft order: What picks will your club take to the draft

PEARCE Hanley looks likely to leave the Brisbane Lions.

The Irishman is contracted until the end of 2019, but the 27-year-old could be on the way out, his manager says.

Hanley has been linked with a move to Gold Coast.

Speaking to SEN on Monday, Paul Connors said Hanley could stay at the Lions but expects he may be traded.

"He's really wrestled with the fact of staying or leaving. Brisbane is really keen to get early draft picks into the door, because they don't have a lot of first-round picks," Connors said.

"Pearce is contracted, he's happy to stay, the club's happy for him to stay, but we are entering into a new world and if the deal's right for both parties, (the player will) go.

"I have an inkling that might happen."

Meanwhile, Connors says West Coast defender Eric Mackenzie could be traded, despite the Eagles having said they want to retain the 2014 best and fairest.

"I think he stays, but trade week … does throw up things. Watch this space," Connors said.

A knee reconstruction forced Mackenzie to miss all of 2015. He managed 13 matches this year and spent much of the second half of the season in the WAFL.

Greater Western Sydney is open to discussions about trading Will Hoskin-Elliott. The No. 4 draft selection in 2011 is contracted until the end of next season.

"That's not a reflection on Will, but more a reflection on managing their salary cap," Connors said.

Hoskin-Elliott played only two games for the Giants this season after a year interrupted by soft tissue injuries.

Connors expects Jarryd Blair to stay at Collingwood but said other clubs had shown interest in small defender Marley Williams.

"We'll wait and see. He may be there (Collingwood) but he may not be there," Connors said.

Williams, 23, was dropped twice this season and had a stint on the sidelines with a foot sprain.
