RICHMOND has boosted its ruck stocks after exchanging a third-round draft selection with the Sydney Swans for youngster Toby Nankervis.
Nankervis told the Swans of his wish to become a Tiger on Tuesday and the club worked quickly to make it happen, receiving pick No.46 in return for the talented big man.

The 22-year-old played 12 games in his three years in Sydney, including seven this year, but despite his strong form in the NEAFL he struggled to cement a spot in the club's best 22 with Kurt Tippett and Sam Naismith preferred by coach John Longmire in the second half of the season.
Swans head of football Tom Harley said the club wanted to have Nankervis on the list in 2017, but reluctantly decided to do a deal with the Tigers.

"While we offered a new contract to Toby and would have liked him to stay, we understand his decision to move on for greater senior opportunity, and we wish him all the best for the future," Harley said.
"We will continue to look to improve our draft position as we look forward to bringing in some exciting young talent."

The Swans now take selections 14, 17, 39, 46, 52 and 93 to the NAB AFL Draft next month.
On the flipside, Richmond currently holds picks 24, 27, 64, 82 and 100, and has added Nankervis and former Gold Coast midfielder Dion Prestia to its books this week.

Nankervis is an aggressive ruckman who can play as a deep forward, and kicked 19.7 in his 13 NEAFL games in 2016.
He will provide solid backup for Richmond's No.1 ruckman Shaun Hampson, with veteran Ivan Maric also on the Tigers' list next year.
Tigers general manager of football talent Dan Richardson said he was delighted to secure the versatile big man.
"He's a strong and competitive ruckman/forward, which is really exciting," he said.
"Going into the trade period, we identified a need to add to our ruck/forward stocks and Toby (Nankervis) absolutely fits this criteria."
