WEST Coast has locked away bookends Jack Darling and Tom Barrass to multi-year contract extensions.

Key forward Darling has put pen to paper on a fresh three-year deal, tying him to the club until at least the end of 2020.

Emerging tall defender Barrass has inked a two-year extension and will remain an Eagle through until 2019.

"We are delighted to have Jack and Tom extend their tenures with the club," general manager of football Craig Vozzo said.

"Whilst at different stages of their careers, we are excited where both players can potentially take their games.

"Jack has already played 128 games and established himself as a quality AFL forward.

"He is a dedicated professional and we believe he can take his game to yet another level while Tom was terrific in his first full season of senior football.

"We believe that he has a lot of upside in his game and we look forward to assisting him evolve in coming seasons."

Darling shapes as the future leader of West Coast's forward line when dual Coleman medallist Josh Kennedy hangs up the boots.

The athletic 24-year-old played every game last season and booted 44 goals although, like many of his teammates, his campaign ended on a sour note with a sub-par performance in the elimination final loss to the Western Bulldogs.

Barrass burst onto the scene last season, playing 10 games in the second half of the year and holding 2014 club champion Eric Mackenzie out of the best 22 with his superb reading of the play.

The 21-year-old earned the round 23 NAB AFL Rising Star nomination after taking seven intercept marks against Adelaide's potent forward line and was the Eagles' rookie of the year.
