FREMANTLE boss Steve Rosich will not consider a move to Hawthorn to become the club's new chief executive.

AFL.com.au reported on Tuesday there was industry speculation linking the 47-year-old to the position vacated by Stuart Fox last week, but the Dockers have revealed that the terms of his deal with the Dockers would preclude such a move.

"Steve was re-contracted at the end of the 2016 season through to end of 2019, and the contract stipulates that he cannot take up a CEO role at another AFL club during that period," said Dockers president Dale Alcock.

Rosich is entering his 10th season as Fremantle's chief executive and last month oversaw the opening of the club's new training and administrative complex at Cockburn.

The Hawks recently appointed Pacific Search Partners to spearhead the process to replace Fox, who has become the new chief executive of the Melbourne Cricket Club.

Hawks president Richard Garvey has said there was no urgency in finding a replacement for Fox, with Tim Silvers named as the interim chief executive.

The big ticket item for whoever takes over at the Hawks will be the planning and construction of their new training and administrative facility on the 28-hectare property purchased last year in Dingley.
