THE CONSTANT speculation about Josh Kelly's future in OK with Greater Western Sydney, because the club believes he has thrived amid the scrutiny.

The 22-year-old has reportedly been offered long and lucrative deals to quit the Harbour City and return home to Melbourne, with North Melbourne and St Kilda at the front of the queue.

The skillful playmaker gave his suitors another reminder of his immense talent on the weekend, racking up a career-high 36 possessions in the win over Collingwood.

GWS football manager Wayne Campbell told SEN on Tuesday morning the 22-year-old's blistering form wasn't making it harder for the club to retain his services.

"We hope the scrutiny increases, because he just seems to be playing better and better footy under it, but we'd certainty like his signature sometime this year," Campbell said.

"Obviously everyone knows there's an enormous offer there, and that's given him pause to think, which understandable being a young guy.

"He's handling it really well, he's showing why other clubs are interested, because he's a really good kid and a really fine footballer.

"We think he'll stay, we've had positive talks with his manager, he loves the club, he loves Sydney."

While Kelly's future is uncertain, the return of Brett Deledio is becoming clearer.

Campbell said the club was happy with the gun recruit's progress from ongoing calf issues progress after several setbacks, but conceded the Giants were still unsure when the 30-year-old former Tiger would be fit to make his debut.

"(Brett) hasn't had a major setback in probably the last six to seven weeks, but we've just been incredibility conservative and really slow with him," Campbell said.

"He's been running on ground for two weeks now, but this is around the time he's had some setback in the past.

"He needs to get through this, and we've got a bye in three week's time, so we'd be looking to hopefully get him back on the ground after that."
