AFL 2017 Round 12 - Adelaide v St Kilda

Jonathon Beech has been delisted by the Crows

ADELAIDE has continued to refine its list, delisting Jonathon Beech and Cam Ellis-Yolmen .

The Crows have, however, committed to re-drafting Ellis-Yolmen in the NAB AFL Rookie Draft if he's still available.

The 24-year-old has played 14 games since being drafted in 2011, while Beech, a marking forward who also got to spend time in the midfield, played three times in 2017.

Adelaide has also committed to taking potential father/son recruit Jackson Edwards, son of club great Tyson, at the rookie draft.

It continues a busy off-season for the Crows, who acquired Bryce Gibbs and Sam Gibson in the NAB AFL Trade Period, but lost young stars Jake Lever (Melbourne) and Charlie Cameron (Brisbane Lions), along with untried Harrison Wigg (Gold Coast).

Scott Thompson retired and the Crows have already delisted Troy Menzel and Dean Gore.

Adelaide general manager of list management and strategy Justin Reid said it was difficult to let Beech go, adding that he was a popular player.

Reid said the club had lodged official paperwork to nominate Edwards ahead of November’s national and rookie drafts.

"There are no guarantees for us or Jackson, but there is an ongoing commitment between the club and the Edwards family that we will take Jackson in the rookie draft if he is available," Reid said.
