Star recruits set to play in Saturday's Roos/Blues clash
FORMER Collingwood star Dale Thomas is set to debut for Carlton againstNorth Melbourne in Saturday's NAB Challenge clash at North Ballarat,while ex-Saint Nick Dal Santo will debut for the Roos.
The Bluescould unveil another two experienced recruits against the Roos, withAndrejs Everitt (Western Bulldogs and Sydney Swans) and Cameron Wood(Brisbane Lions and Collingwood) in their squad of 29.
North isalso set to play former Tiger Robin Nahas for the first time against theBlues, along with former Gold Coast key defender Joel Tippett.
Bothclubs have named their first picks in last year's NAB AFL Draft, Northfather-son recruit Luke McDonald (No.8) and Blues midfielder PatrickCripps (No.13).
North's squad looks stronger, with skipperAndrew Swallow (Achilles), Aaron Mullett, Robbie Tarrant, Nathan Grimaand Leigh Adams the only regulars from last season missing.
TheBlues will take the field without former skipper Chris Judd (Achilles),Kade Simpson, Matthew Kreuzer, Lachie Henderson (groin), AndrewCarrazzo, Michael Jamison, Heath Scotland and Jeff Garlett.
Saturday's match will start at 4.40pm EDT, with the teams' squads reduced to 26 90 minutes before the game.
