Adelaide’s players and coaches made the long trek up Main North Road to Gawler on Tuesday to train at Trinity College.

As a part of the club’s community program, the team trains at a college once a season, inviting a small group of the school’s best junior footballers to train with the squad.

Matthew Claughton, Beau Girdham (Trinity College 1st XVIII Football Captain), Brandon Olszewski and Jackson Dearing took part in the entire training session

Trinity College sports coordinator Christine Murray said the entire student body were grateful for the experience of having the team train at their school.

"I’d like to thank the Adelaide Football Club for the opportunity to have these boys out to train with the Crows as they have been given a massive boost as far as confidence goes," Christine said.

"Also, the Trinity students loved seeing our guys mixing it with the elite footballers. I know the boys will remember this as one of their highlights and it will make them think hard about what their goals and aspirations are for their footy careers."

Former Trinity College student Brad Symes was visiting his old stomping ground and was on hand to present the school principal with a signed guernsey.

After the session, players stayed around to sign autographs before watching Scott Stevens’ retirement press conference and then into their game review meeting.

The club would like to thank Trinity College for their hospitality and the use of their fantastic facilities up there at Gawler.
