North Melbourne legend Glenn Archer will scorch the track on Monday when he features in a special celebrity time trial for the hit show Top Gear.

Returning to Australia for a series of live theatre shows, Top Gear will be presented by Jeremy Clarkson, James May and representing Australia, Shane Jacobson.

Held at the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds, the festival will house a 1.5km race track on which over 120 iconic cars ranging from the F1 1926 French Grand Prix winner through to current King of the Mountain rally winner will compete to post the fastest lap. The track will also host drifting and urbancross displays, a V8 Triathlon and driving displays by the Stig.

Archer though, will try his hand at the inaugural Top Gear Live Celebrity Challenge.

Over the four days, sixteen celebrities will conduct one lap of the track in a standard production car. The person with the lowest time will be crowned the winner and receive a very rubbish Top Gear Live trophy from Jeremy Clarkson.

If Archer is to take out pole position, he will need some support - kangaroos.com.au wants you to leave your words of encouragement and driving tips in the comments section below and you could win a double pass to the Top Gear Live Festival and show for Friday, March 11.
