THE 2022 AFLW Grand Final will kick off at 12.30pm AEDT on Saturday, April 9, the AFL has confirmed.

The round four Sydney v North Melbourne AFL game, which was scheduled to be played at 1.45pm AEST that day has been pushed back to 2.40pm AEST to give the AFLW Grand Final clean air.

Originally scheduled for April 2, the Grand Final has been pushed back a week after a COVID outbreak at Collingwood forced the club's qualifying final to be postponed.

As a result, the preliminary finals will be played on April 2, and the Grand Final a week later.

Entry to both prelims will be free, but attendees to the Melbourne-Brisbane game will need to redeem a ticket via Ticketek. Those free tickets will be available on Monday, March 28 at 2pm or AFLW members, and 4pm for the general public (both times local).
