FIVE new faces have made their All-Australian debuts, while North Melbourne's Emma Kearney has continued her streak, this time named as captain. 

Kearney is the only player to be named in the All-Australian side every season since the competition began six years ago, with teammates Jasmine Garner and Ashleigh Riddell each earning their fourth and second call-up respectively. 

Four of Melbourne's seven squad members have been named in the side with Tayla Harris' 18 goals earning her a fourth guernsey. Daisy Pearce's leadership sees her third All-Australian addition, while both ruck Lauren Pearce and defender Libby Birch have made the side for the second time. 

Fellow Grand Finalist Adelaide boasts four members of the side, with Ebony Marinoff's fourth All-Australian, Sarah Allan and Anne Hatchard's third, and a maiden guernsey for competition leading goalkicker Ashleigh Woodland.

Hayley Miller has been named as the side's vice-captain after her stellar first year as Fremantle skipper, while tough Western Bulldogs midfielder Kirsty Lamb has also been recognised for the first time thanks to her breakout season in what has been a difficult year for her side. 

Despite falling in a tight preliminary final, the reigning premiers have three representatives in the side. Brisbane vice-captain Emily Bates' career-best season has been rewarded with a third All-Australian guernsey, while both Orla O'Dwyer and Natalie Grider have earned a maiden berth.

Collingwood's tumultuous season has seen Ruby Schleicher and Jaimee Lambert each named in the All-Australian side for the second time and Richmond stars Katie Brennan and Monique Conti have both been recognised, as has Carlton captain Kerryn Harrington.

In all, five debutants have been named: Woodland, O'Dwyer, Grider, Miller and Lamb. 

As always, there were some notable absences from the final side with the likes of Greta Bodey, Maddy McMahon, Ebony Antonio, Rebecca Miller, Shelley Heath and Cora Staunton all in the 40-player squad, but not selected in the 21.
