With 50 per cent of the vote, Garner was comfortably ahead of the 2019 AFLW leading goalkicker Stevie-Lee Thompson, with Darcy Vescio, Jess Wuetschner and the versatile Erin Phillips also receiving nods.

Garner, 25, is coming into her own as a top-line player of the competition, named All Australian in 2019 and also in the VFLW's team of the year.
