TWO club captains have been dropped, with Western Bulldogs' De Berry and Geelong's Meg McDonald forced to sit on the sidelines for week one of Pride Round.

Fan-favourite Mua Laloifi will make her Western Bulldogs debut more than a year after injuring her ACL in a practice match. The defender was traded from Carlton to the Dogs at the conclusion of the 2023 NAB AFLW season, following five seasons at Princes Park.

Along with the regained Issy Grant (concussion), Laloifi bolsters the Dogs' backline that has lost Cleo Buttifant (knee) and Elisabeth Georgostathis (knee) for the remainder of the season.

McDonald has been replaced in Geelong's side by Erica Fowler, with Julia Crockett-Grills back after two weeks sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Port Adelaide has suffered a blow for its tough task against Brisbane, with last week's match-winner Abbey Dowrick sidelined through injury, as is fellow hard-nut Kirsty Lamb, with Alissa Brook and Piper Window(ankle) recalled.

Ruby Svarc comes out of Brisbane's side following a concussion sustained late in last week's QClash win, as does the omitted Rania Crozier, with Poppy Boltz (hamstring) and Sophie Peters named for their first games of the season.

Gold Coast has bolstered its talls, recalling Katie Lynch, Jac Dupuy and Lauren Bella in place of Ella Maurer (foot), Tayla Gregory and Keely Fullerton.

Collingwood is set to regain its own skipper, Ruby Schleicher, who was a late withdrawal last weekend with a corked leg. The midfielder is one of at least three changes the Pies are set to make with their Sunday team.

Carlton has suffered a double blow, losing key forward Tara Bohanna (foot) and star mid Mimi Hill (calf strain) for its Sunday match against Sydney, the Swans also set to be without the hobbled Sofia Hurley.

Remarkably, premiership small forward Alice O'Loughlin is back just two weeks after a lacerated liver saw her spend some time in hospital, with three-time consecutive late inclusion Amy Gavin Mangan once again omitted.

Opponent Richmond has made three changes after its breakthrough maiden victory for the season, with Gab Seymour (knee), Sarah Hosking and Sierra Grieves (both managed) replaced by Maddie Shevlin, Lauren Brazzale and Charli Wicksteed.

Greater Western Sydney is unchanged, with former skipper Alicia Eva failing to overcome a quad complaint.

West Coast has made four changes, regaining ill quartet Roxy Roux, Kayla Dalgleish, Ali Drennan and Sanne Bakker, but have lost Courtney Rowley (ACL) and Belinda Smith (hamstring).

Adelaide has dropped veteran Stevie-Lee Thompson, with Christina Leuzzi set to debut, while Chelsea Randall is sidelined with concussion for a fourth week.

Essendon has lost impressive youngster Grace Belloni to injury, while second ruck Courtney Murphy has been dropped, replaced by Taya Chambers and Mia Van Dyke for her first game of the year.

Hawthorn has made just the one change, with Mack Eardley coming in after a week's rest for fellow defender Tamara Smith, who has also been managed.

Fremantle star forward Aine Tighe is on track to return from a torn ACL, named in the Dockers' extended side, who will be without Gabby O'Sullivan (foot soreness).
