RICHMOND'S Olivia Wolmarans has received the Telstra AFLW Rising Star nomination for round six after the best performance of her young career.

The 2026 No.1 draft pick put on a show against Greater Western Sydney, kicking three goals and taking nine marks. 

She also laid three tackles and notched up a career-high 15 disposals, as well as eight score involvements.

The Western Australian has kicked 10 goals in her first six games of AFLW, and has formed a close relationship with Tigers' assistant coach and former Carlton spearhead Brendan Fevola.

Speaking with AFL.com.au earlier this month, Wolmarans shared how she's adjusting to life at Tigerland.

"I love Richmond, I think I'm definitely going to stay here. The culture at Richmond is just so great, the girls get around me, especially Jarrad (Donders, coach), he's been a great support system for me," she said.

"It was hard with the weather (in Melbourne) at the start, but when I went back home, I wasn't wearing any jumpers, and my friends were saying 'what are you doing, it's cold', so I think I've adjusted really well. 

"I feel like I belong. I feel like I'm one of them, and the girls are great."

The Tigers sit at ninth on the ladder after round six with four wins and two losses, and face Carlton at Ikon Park on Friday afternoon with tickets available here.
