MELBOURNE skipper Kate Hore will return for the top-four clash against the Western Bulldogs, Bri Davey's season is over after suffering another injury, while Adelaide has suffered two significant injury blows for its must-win match against North Melbourne.

The Dees have also regained Paxy Paxman after a week's rest, with Jorja Livingstone and Tahlia Fellows omitted.

The Crows will be without Niamh Kelly (injured) and Maddi Newman (ACL), and are likely to regain Chelsea Biddell (hamstring), but will confirm its final team on Friday night.

The Bulldogs have made just one change, with half-back Mizuki Brothwell coming in for midfielder Jess Fitzgerald (hamstring), while co-captain De Berry has finally been named an emergency for the first time in five weeks.

Fremantle will regain key defender Emma O'Driscoll (ankle) for the first time in five weeks as it battles to keep its finals hopes alive, losing Maddy Scanlon to her own ankle injury.

Opponent Geelong will be without the concussed Jackie Parry, opening the door for Irishwoman Kate Kenny's first game of the season, having suffered a serious foot injury in pre-season.

Davey is out for the season with a syndesmosis injury after rolling her ankle in last week's loss to Sydney, with Charlotte Brewer dropped. Sarah Rowe (groin) and Georgia Knight come back into the team.

Gold Coast has recalled Lily Mithen and Tara Harrington, opting for a shorter line-up against Richmond by dropping second ruck Paige Price and Ellie Veerhuis.

They've opted to manage youngsters Issy Bacon and Mackenzie Ford, with Fina Dethlefsen dropped.
