THE AFL wishes to advise the Match Review of Round Eight of the NAB AFL Women’s Competition has been completed. Three charges were laid.

Charges Laid:

Greta Bodey, Brisbane Lions, has been charged with Tripping (Fixed Financial Sanction) Jess Duffin, North Melbourne, during the third quarter of the Round Eight match between the Brisbane Lions and North Melbourne, played at The Gabba on Saturday March 20. 

In summary, she can accept a reprimand with an early plea.

A first offence for Tripping (Fixed Financial Sanction) is a $400 sanction. An early plea enables the player to accept a reprimand.

Jenna Bruton, North Melbourne, has been charged with Rough Conduct (Dangerous Tackle) against Shannon Campbell, Brisbane Lions, during the third quarter of the Round Eight match between the Brisbane Lions and North Melbourne, played at The Gabba on Saturday March 20. 

In summary, she can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.

Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as Careless Conduct, Medium Impact and High Contact. The incident was classified as a one-match sanction. The player can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.

Kiara Bowers, Fremantle Dockers, has been charged with Rough Conduct (Dangerous Tackle) against Eden Zanker, Melbourne, during the first quarter of the Round Eight match between the Fremantle Dockers and Melbourne, played at Fremantle Oval, on Sunday March 21.

In summary, she can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.
