WESTERN AUSTRALIA 

AFLW-Listed Players

Peel Thunder went back-to-back with a 21-point win over Swan Districts in the WAFLW Grand Final. Tough conditions at David Grays Arena had the Thunder shoot out to an early lead through Kate Bartlett and it was a lead they never relinquished to win their second WAFLW Premiership.

The Lou Knitter Medal for best on ground went to Sabreena Duffy for her work in the midfield, winning plenty of clearances and contested possessions in her best-on-ground display.

Dockers teammate Sarah Verrier also played a role in helping Peel Thunder to the premiership with her work in the midfield. 

Bianca Webb and Mikayla Hyde were the only goalkickers for Swan Districts and were in the team's best for the fight through the midfield. 

State League Players 

Kate Bartlett and Kira Phillips combined for all five of Peel Thunder’s goals with Phillips' contested work against the Swan Districts' defence a highlight.

Western Australian’s under-19 MVP Ella Roberts also showed why she’s a star of the future with her Grand Final performance. 

QUEENSLAND 

AFLW-Listed Players

University of Queensland had an emphatic come-from-behind win to take out the QAFLW Premiership over Bond University. The third quarter was the premiership quarter for University of Queensland where they kicked six goals to one to run out 40-point winners.

Dakota Davidson was one of five Brisbane Lions to win her second premiership of the year, this time she was also awarded best on ground for her four-goal, 18-disposal performance.

Bre Koenen was another choice for the best-on-ground medal and Nat Grider and Greta Bodey were other top performers in the win, collecting 10 and 14 disposals respectively.

For Bond University Kalinda Howarth and Ellie Hampson were electric inside 50 with Howarth kicking three goals and Hampson two. Lucy Single was also noted for her work for Bond through the midfield. 

State League Players 

Luka Yoshida-Martin was one of UQ’s most important players in the Grand Final making her influence felt after her side's slow start, finishing with 18 touches.

Lucinda Pullar and Emily Otto were amongst Bond University’s best players for their efforts in the Grand Final. 

VICTORIA

Collingwood booked its place into the VFLW Grand Final with a seven-point win over Essendon at Victoria Park. It was a tight low-scoring affair with just three goals kicked throughout the entire game but it suited the Pies who now have the chance to go back-to-back.

Mikala Cann’s strong form continued with the tough midfielder collecting 21 disposals, seven tackles and kicking a goal in an influential performance.

Chloe Molloy and Ebony O’Dea also stepped up in the tight game, Molloy created plenty of opportunities for her teammates from her 16 disposals.

Lauren Ahrens was one the Bombers' best performers in the loss finishing with 22 disposals, three marks and six tackles.

Georgia Clarke led Geelong’s come-from-behind victory over the Southern Saints to progress through to the preliminary final. Clarke kicked four goals from 14 disposals, her two final-quarter goals were the difference for the Cats.

Rebecca Webster led the Cats' midfield with her 21 disposals and Maddy Keryk was influential off half-back.

Alice Burke did a mountain of work in defence for the Southern Saints, finishing with a game-high 23 disposals. 

State League Players 

Georgia Nanscawen was again Essendon’s best player with her 29 disposals and 13 tackles.

Top draft prospect Georgie Prespakis had her best VFLW game so far and Alana Barba was a big contributor for the Bombers as well.

Paige Sheppard showed off her workrate in Geelong’s win gathering 19 disposals and kicking the crucial third-quarter goal to give the Cats the lead.

Annabel Johnson did a good job on the wing for Geelong as did Claudia Gunjaca up forward who had a tough battle with Saints defender Francesca Hocking.

For the Southern Saints Gabby De Angelis was again lively kicking two goals from 13 disposals and Alexandra Hyne was impressive in the ruck.

SYDNEY

There were no games in the AFL Sydney competition due to the lockdown in the Greater Sydney area. 

CANBERRA

State League Players 

The Ainslie Tricolours enjoyed a 87-point win where they were able to keep the the Gunghalin Jets goalless. Eleanor Bishop was noted for her work in the big win which included two goals.

Her teammates Renee Friend and Maddison Holloway also played a role in the win and both hit the scoreboard.

Five goals to Jessica Stramandinoli helped the Queanbeyan Tigers on its way to a 33-point win over the Eastlake Demons.

The Belconnen Magpies held on to top spot on the ladder with its 89-point win over Tuggeranong Valley.

Hannah Wallett kicked four goals and the Magpies’ Jacqueline Spence and Lucy Anderson were also integral to the win.
