GEELONG star defender Meg McDonald has declared herself fit to take on Greater Western Sydney in Friday night's crunch clash at UNSW Oval in Canberra.

The Cats' interceptor pulled up with a sore foot after the team's disappointing 36-point loss to Fremantle and was in a moon boot on crutches the following day.

"I'm fine, everyone just needs to take a load off now and again," McDonald told the Credit to the Girls podcast with a laugh.

"I just pulled up with a bit of a sore foot after the game, so they thought it can't hurt to take some weight off it."

In this episode…

McDonald also discusses Geelong's loss to Fremantle, her transformation from a Bulldogs forward to Cats defender and that egg on her head after a contest gone wrong in round four.
