Dear clubs,

Across the NAB League competitions, the health and safety of our staff, players and fans is paramount, therefore we want to reassure our football community that we are regularly consulting with the Australian Government, the World Health Organisation and the AFL’s Chief Medical Officers.

To provide an update on competitions, Round 3 of the 2020 NAB League Girls competition will continue as planned this weekend with Round 4 to continue on Saturday 21st March.

The 2020 NAB League Boys competition will begin on Saturday 21st March as planned.

The AFL acknowledges the advice of the medical authorities that there is a potential for this to change and for potential interruption across the NAB League season. The AFL will continue to look at all fixturing alternatives to ensure matches are played.

We ask that attendances at games are limited to players, umpires, officials, recruiters and direct family members.

The health and well-being of fans, players, umpires, officials, partners and communities is the priority, with the decision made following advice provided by both Federal and state governments and the State and Territory Chief Medical Officers.

We will continue to be guided by the most up-to-date advice while acknowledging that matters may continue to evolve.

The AFL and NAB League clubs will continue to put a range of precautionary measures in place to protect the well-being of players and club officials. The situation is fluid and further protocols will reflect this.

Matches will continue to be broadcast on the NAB League App with thanks to Telstra.
