THE SAINTS will this week decide whether Justin Koschitzke plays his 200th match at a Carlton away game or in front of a home crowd in round 17 against Port Adelaide.

Koschitzke has played 199 games but didn't make the trip to Perth for Sunday's 30-point loss to Fremantle at Patersons Stadium.

Coach Scott Watters said two weeks ago Koschitzke's milestone was set to happen.

It's now just a matter of when the club decides to celebrate the 30-year-old's big game.

"Only 4 per cent of players play 200 games so it looks like we're going to be able to get him there," Watters said, ahead of round 14.

The Saints play the Blues on Saturday night at Etihad Stadium before hosting the Power a week later, also at the Docklands venue.

Koschitzke has played four senior games this season - rounds five and six, 13 and 14 - with form, suspension and the Saints' desire to get games into young talent keeping him out.

After Sunday's game, Watters emphasised Tom Lee, Tom Hickey, Josh Saunders and Brodie Murdoch will continue to be exposed to senior football.

Watters said while captain Nick Riewoldt would return after missing the Fremantle clash with soreness, the availability of Koschitzke and Stephen Milne would be determined this week.

"It might be hard to keep a few of them out of the side. We'll weigh that up," he said, after Sunday's game.

"With the six-day turnaround after this game and the flight, there was a potential management issue [with Riewoldt] so he'll be fresh to go.

"We'll make a call on Kosi and Milney at selection next week."

Milne hasn't played since round 11. He was charged with four counts of rape on June 18 from a 2004 incident and was given a leave of absence from playing.

The club said at the time it was expected he would miss three to four weeks, which would make him available this round.

Milne appeared briefly in court on Friday and will return on September 13.
