STAR recruit Lance Franklin will make his debut for the Sydney Swans in Thursday night's NAB Challenge game against West Coast at Blacktown.

The former Hawk didn't feature in the Swans' 40-point win over Greater Western Sydney in Canberra last week.

But he joins speedster Lewis Jetta, ruckman Mike Pyke and swingman Lewis Roberts-Thomson among the inclusions in the 29-man squad for the clash with the Eagles.

Co-captains Kieren Jack and Jarrad McVeigh and fellow leaders Josh Kennedy, Ben McGlynn and Ted Richards are among the omissions from the squad that beat the Giants.

All of them are being rested.

Midfielder Andrew Gaff is among the inclusions in the Eagles' squad.

Adam Simpson's men are aiming to continue their impressive pre-season after thrashing Fremantle by 84 points in their first NAB Challenge match.

Both clubs will reduce their squads to 26 players 90 minutes prior to the opening bounce on Thursday.
